Sony has expanded its home theater lineup with the introduction of two new audio systems: the Bravia Theatre Bar 6 and the Bravia Theatre System 6. These systems aim to deliver immersive, high-quality sound experiences for home entertainment enthusiasts.

Bravia Theatre Bar 6

The Bravia Theatre Bar 6 is a 3.1.2-channel soundbar system that includes a wireless subwoofer. It supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats, providing a three-dimensional sound experience. The soundbar features up-firing speakers designed to deliver overhead audio effects, enhancing the sense of immersion. Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround technologies are integrated to create a more expansive soundstage. Additionally, a dedicated center speaker ensures clear dialogue reproduction. When paired with compatible Sony Bravia TVs, the Bravia Theatre Bar 6 utilizes Voice Zoom 3, an AI-driven feature that enhances speech clarity. Control options include the Bravia Connect smartphone app and direct access through the TV’s Quick Settings menu. The Bravia Theatre Bar 6 is priced at £499 in the UK and is scheduled to ship from April 10.

Bravia Theatre System 6

For those seeking a comprehensive surround sound setup, the Bravia Theatre System 6 offers a 5.1-channel speaker configuration with a total power output of 1,000 watts. This all-in-one system comprises a bar speaker, rear speakers, and a dedicated subwoofer. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, delivering multi-dimensional soundscapes. The inclusion of Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround technologies enhances spatial audio performance. The system also features Voice Zoom 3 for improved dialogue clarity and a Multi Stereo mode that expands stereo signals across all speakers for a more immersive experience. The Bravia Theatre System 6 is set to ship from May 6 in the UK, priced at £549.

Additional Components

Sony has also introduced optional components to further enhance the home theater experience. The Bravia Theatre Rear 8 consists of wireless rear surround speakers that can be added to compatible setups, featuring both a woofer and a tweeter. These speakers support 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, which analyzes room characteristics to simulate the effect of multiple phantom speakers, aiming for greater immersion. The Bravia Theatre Rear 8 is priced at £449 in the UK and is expected to ship from June 11. Additionally, the Bravia Theatre Sub 7 is a compact wireless subwoofer with a 100W output, designed to add deeper bass to the audio setup. It features Sony’s Separated Notch Edge cabinet design to control resonance and reduce distortion. The Bravia Theatre Sub 7 will be available from May 28 in the UK, priced at £249.

These new additions to Sony’s Bravia lineup offer versatile options for consumers looking to enhance their home audio experience with advanced sound technologies and user-friendly features.
